Inspired by friends telling stories on a small-town Georgia porch, The Moth garnered a cult following in New York City, and then rose to international acclaim with the wildly popular podcast and Peabody Award–winning weekly public radio show The Moth Radio Hour (produced by Jay Allison and presented by PRX.) I’m also available to conduct breakout sessions to go deeper into the topics.THE MOTH is an acclaimed not-for-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. In each keynote, I provide action steps that audiences can take to incorporate the ideas into their daily lives. Often I speak on the power of storytelling in addition to broader themes. To ensure success, I partner with my clients to make sure we meet their goals. Whether on stage as a storyteller, performing at corporate events, or giving keynote speeches, I address themes like creative thinking, risk taking, and resilience.Ī keynote speaker and emcee can make or break an event.

In addition to The Moth, I’ve told stories across the country, including NYC’s The Stor圜ollider and Out by Ten, LA’s Spark Off Rose, and Nashville’s The Local Show and Ten x 9. Since that first appearance, I’ve performed on The Moth MainStage numerous times, including inaugural shows in Dublin, Ireland and Nashville, Tennessee, and had three stories featured on The Moth Radio Hour: How to Draw a Nekkid Man, The Tricia Ball, and my newest story, How to Act Like a Lady. In December 2010, I took the stage at a Moth StorySLAM at NYC’s Bitter End.
